The Cadet AME Program is a collaborative initiative between IndiGo and the School for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (SAME), designed to build the next generation of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. It is a specialized training pathway designed to develop future-ready Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.

    Indian National
    Candidate must be an Indian National
    10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
    Candidate must possess a minimum higher secondary certificate (10+2) in the science stream with good academic record.
    Minimum 60% aggregate in PCM
    Candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their Higher Secondary (10+2) examinations.
    English Language Proficiency
    Fluency in written and spoken English.
    Physically & Medically Fit
    Candidates should be in good physical and mental health.

    Selection Process

    Shortlisted candidates will undergo a comprehensive entrance test, evaluating:

    Academic & Profile Evaluation

    After admission to SAME, candidates will undergo further evaluation to shortlist a select group of 30 candidates for the IndiGo Cadet AME Program. Candidates are assessed based on:

    What is the minimum required qualification to commence Basic AME training?
    Minimum qualification required to commence Basic AME training in Air India Cadet AME Programme is Class 12 with PCM.
    Is there any prior experience required to be eligible for this programme?
    No prior experience is required for this programme.
    Can I apply if I have taken Commerce or Arts in Class 12?
    No, PCM is mandatory for eligibility.
