AMEs are the backbone of the highly complex flying machines. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are the only licensed holders given the privileges to maintain and certify the complex flying machine for flying. As many airlines increasing their fleet in India which leads to the regular shortage of skill work force. To support the requirement InterGlobe opened an AME training Institute as School for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering at Greater Noida, Delhi & NCR region, aiming to produce Aircraft Maintenance Engineering personnel of an outstanding quality and standard.

The School for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (SAME) duly approved by the DGCA, aims to provide such aspiring engineers with the necessary education, including class-room training, practical knowledge, skill development and on the-job-training that would support to fulfil the requirement of Skilled Manpower in the Industry. SAME has built a great and unique infrastructure to train the AMEs with the optimum level of knowledge & skill with the support of its sister organizations IndiGo Airlines and CAE Simulation Training Pilot Limited- a joint venture of Canadian Aviation Electronics and InterGlobe to provide pilot training in India. Students from SAME will be preferred as highly skilled candidates, which give them an edge to flourish their career in the field of Aircraft Maintenance. India’s largest domestic airline IndiGo may consider for employment of candidates from SAME.
